Description

Removing surface moisture from produce prior to packing has a number of advantages for the grower, packer or shipper, such as slowing bacteria growth, improving handling and increasing shelf life.  The Wyma Drying Tunnel performs this task effectively and efficiently.

Wyma Drying Tunnels use warm air to reduce surface moisture from fresh produce prior to packaging. A specifically designed insulated hood creates a tunnel for produce to travel through. A heat exchanger pumps warm dry air into the hood while additional fans mounted on top of the hood generate air turbulence that quickly and efficiently dries produce. Steel rollers turn the produce for even drying while the roller retains and radiates heat on to the surface of the product adding to the drying efficiency.
